Claretta Allen, President

Claretta Allen is President of IUE-CWA Local 86782. Prior to serving as President, Claretta previously served as a Shop Steward, Vice President, and Recording Secretary for the Local. She serves as a board member for the Tyler Chapter of CLUW, and is the District 17 Vice President of the Texas AFL-CIO, and Recording Secretary of the Smith County Central Labor Council. She is active in the Tyler Chapter of the NAACP.
Johnny Gross, Vice President.

Johnny Gross is Vice President of IUE-CWA Local 86782. In his capacity as vice president, he serves on the local negotiating committee and grievance committee.

Joyce Sheffield, Recording Secretary. Joyce Sheffield was elected Recording Secretary of IUE-CWA Local 86782 in 2003. She has served the Local as a shop steward for 8 years, and serves on the Grievance Committee, the COPE Committee, the Constitution Committee, Negotiating Committee, Executive Board, and has been a delegate from the local to the Southern School for Union Women. She is a member of the Coalition for Labor Union Women. As Recording Secretary, Joyce also serves as supervising officer of the Election Committee.
Loretta Thomas, Financial Secretary. Loretta Thomas has served as Financial Secretary for Local 86782 since March of 1999, filling an unexpired term. She has been elected to several consecutive terms since then. Prior to serving as Financial Secretary, Loretta served as a Shop Steward for about 12 years. She has been the Local’s delegate to the Smith County Central Labor Council, and serves on the COPE Committee. In addition, Loertta was appointed by International President Jim Clark to serve on the IUE-CWA International Dues Committee in 2008. Loretta has also been a delegate from the local to the Southern School for Union Women. Loretta has also been trained in the use of MUMS, the international’s dues collection software.

Yolanda Warren, Plant Chief Steward

Yolanda Warren is Plant Chief Steward of IUE-CWA Local 86782. Prior to serving as Plant Chief Steward, Yolanda was a shop steward. As Chief Steward, Yolanda serves on the Executive Board, and the Grievance Committee. She also serves on the Constitution Committee.

Sam Buckner, First Shift Chief Steward

Sam Buckner is the First Shift Chief Steward for IUE-CWA Local 86782. Mark has served Local 782 as shop steward for several years before being elected as First Shift Chief Steward in 2009.

Georege Elmore, Second Shift Chief Steward

George Elmore is the Second Shift Chief Steward for IUE-CWA Local 86782. George has served Local 782 as a steward for a number of years. As Second Shift Chief Steward, he is a member of the Executive Board, Grievance Committee, and Negotiating Committee. George also serves on the local Constitution Committee and COPE Committee. In addition, he is active in the A. Philip Randolph Institute and is a state officer for APRI-Texas.

Paula Taylor, Second Shift Assistant Chief Steward

Paula Taylor is the Second Shift Assistant Chief Steward for IUE-CWA Local 86782. Paula has served Local 782 as a steward for a number of years. As Second Shift Assistant Chief Steward, she is a member of the Executive Board and Grievance Committee. Paula also serves on the local COPE Committee. In addition, she is active in the A. Philip Randolph Institute and is a state officer for APRI-Texas
